Sharon Page brings extensive experience of strategic planning, change management and organisational development gained as a senior manager in the higher education and cultural sectors. She has a deep understanding of the importance and complexities of recruiting to mission-critical roles from a senior manager’s perspective.
Prior to becoming a consultant, Sharon held board level posts in higher education for 8 years, first as College Secretary at Goldsmiths, University of London and most recently as Registrar and Secretary at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London (SOAS). At Goldsmiths, Sharon was responsible for all student-facing services and administration, as well as development, marketing and PR, establishing the College’s first dedicated development department and recruiting a Development Director. At SOAS, Sharon headed a unitary administration, responsible for all administrative and operational functions including finance, HR, IT, estates and facilities, the academic registry, business development, the library, the learning and teaching unit, marketing and communications and development.
Sharon started her career as a lawyer, working in local government, private practice and central government. In 1997 she moved into the cultural sector, joining Tate as Secretary to the Trustees just as the project to build Tate Modern was commencing. As part of the Tate senior management team, she was also closely involved in the re-branding, re-positioning and change management process leading up to the opening of Tate Modern.
