Moyra Doyle - Managing Director
Moyra Doyle brings an extensive experience of strategic planning and human resource management to client organisations. She has worked over the last decade with some of the leading cultural and education institutions in the United Kingdom, including the Natural History Museum, University of Edinburgh, UCL, King’s College London and the Royal Academy.
Prior to founding Richmond Associates, Moyra played a senior role in organisational and strategic change initiatives at the South Bank Centre, the world's largest performing arts centre, where she was Development Director. In that post she was responsible for all of the Centre's non-performance income, extending across fund-raising, corporate sponsorship, corporate membership, licensing, retail shops both managed and franchised, conferences and catering operations. For 5 years before that she managed a department of 35 staff in London, Toronto and Sydney for the specialist training video division of BBC Worldwide.
In addition to her BEd degree, she has participated in extensive management training and has an MA in the Management of Human Resources. Moyra is a Fellow of the RSA, a member of and regular speaker for CASE, a member of the Institute of Fundraising Managers and the CIPD.
Katy Giddens - Principal Consultant
Katy has more than six years experience of sponsorship and fundraising spanning education and the arts. From 1998 she worked at University College London where she worked across a integrated fundraising programme, targeting alumni, corporates, trusts and individuals. In 2000, she joined The Specialist Schools Trust as Associate Director where she helped develop and manage a new fundraising team which raised in excess of £10 million a year to support key government education initiatives.
In 2005 she joined Richmond Associates from the British Museum where, as Head of Corporate Development, she led the Museum’s national and international corporate fundraising strategy.
Katy graduated in 1994 from the University of Bristol with a BSc Hons degree in Philosophy and Sociology.
Marta M. Lejkowski – Principal Consultant – Practice Manager
Marta has six years of experience in the fundraising profession. She began her career at the World Resources Institute, an environmental think-tank in Washington D.C., where she worked as an individual donor fundraiser. She was responsible for expanding the individual donor programme and coordinating a US$30 million appeal. In London Marta worked as a Senior Major Donor Fundraiser for Shelter, a housing campaigning charity, where she managed a group of major individual donors and worked closely with trustees and volunteer leaders. Additionally, Marta has been a trainee accountant with the firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.
These experiences, together with her various consulting projects in the non-profit sector in the US, UK and Eastern Europe, have given Marta opportunities to develop fundraising strategies for annual funds and campaigns, and to manage strong relationships with donors and trustees. As a result, she has an excellent understanding of fundraising goals, what organisations need from their fundraisers, and how recruitment fits within their strategic plans.
Marta has a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University in Canada, and a Master of Science degree from the Central European University in Hungary. She also has professional training in fundraising, business and management.
Chris Murphy – Candidate Consultant
Chris graduated from the University of Manchester with an Arts Honours Degree in French and German Studies. He has a keen interest in education, further developed at University where he mentored modern language students and spent a year teaching English in Hamburg. Chris has also worked in Paris and Bordeaux.
Chris joined Richmond Associates as a graduate to increase his knowledge of development within the higher education and cultural sectors. He has since gained valuable executive search and selection experience working with a wide range of clients including UCL, King’s College Cambridge, the University of Southampton, the University of Bath, King’s College London, the Royal Albert Hall, V&A, Cancer Research UK and the University of Edinburgh.
Lydia Fowler – Candidate Consultant
Lydia graduated from the University of Warwick with an Arts Honours degree in English and French Studies. She has a strong interest in performing arts and education, having spent a year teaching English in the Gers, France and at Onley Young Offenders Unit.
Lydia joined Richmond Associates as a graduate to develop her interest and knowledge of the Higher Education sector and the recruitment industry. Since joining, she has gained valuable executive search and selection experience working with clients such as St John’s College Oxford, British Museum, University of Oxford, Natural History Museum and the National Galleries of Scotland.
Andrea Friedman – Candidate Consultant
Andrea has over 5 years experience in development and administration in the arts.
Prior to joining Richmond Associates, Andrea served as the Associate Director – Patron Programme and Membership at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. She was responsible for the cultivation, solicitation and benefits fulfillment of over 4,000 annual donors and created strategies, events and promotions to expand the Met’s young supporter base. Andrea began her career in the Executive Office at Actors’ Equity Association, the trade union for professional Broadway actors and stage managers, where she dealt with contract negotiations, human resources issues and member communications.
A native New Yorker, Andrea graduated with honours from New York University, with a Bachelors Degree in Performing Arts and Humanities.
Sonja Dunphy – Business Support Executive
Sonja graduated from the University of Reading with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pathobiology. She joined Richmond Associates in 2004 as an administrator and has since been promoted to her current role, providing a broader range of business support services including market research, financial and performance analysis, human resource and business planning.
Nina Chu – Business Support Administrator
Nina graduated from Kings College, London with a Bachelor of Science degree in Immunology. Having taught Cantonese and studied Mandarin, she has developed a keen interest in education as well as maintaining her active interest in the performing arts.
Nina is Richmond Associates’ business administrator. As well as being responsible for the smooth running of the office and reception, she provides administrative support to our consultants on a number of assignments.
